This is what they do after school lets out for the year in SE Connecticut

We live on the shoreline of the Long Island Sound and there are plenty of beaches. So of course the first thing to do when school lets out - is go to the beach! We enjoyed our first year of heading to the beach on the last day of school. I think we can get used to this.

Emma's first friend, Sara,  that she made back in August. They were in the same class and have created a great friendship.

Emma and Kennedy. Another Midwestern girl who moved here in September from Kansas.

Father's Day 2015

Father's Day was very short for us. Ethan had to leave at 6:30am from Hartford for a work trip to North Carolina for the week. We took him to the airport to say goodbye. The night before Katherine gave him something she made in school. Her answers to the statements about her Daddy made me laugh out loud. Later picture to be posted.

I can reach it Mom.

She is getting big. Too big. Here is proof. She can open it but not quite look in. Yet.

You don't see me. Cora loves to spite me and look away when I try to take a picture.

Waiting for the bus on the last day of school.

Last Day of School. Finally.

This school year felt especially long in our new state. Their original last day of school was June 11 but because of snow days they didn't finish until June 18. So really we haven't even been out of school yet for two full weeks. Crazy. We now have a 5th grader - going to middle school (crazy!) and a first grader. Plus, a 2 year old who is quick as a button and always a parakeet - or as she likes to call herself a Corakeet.
